about

This track has a lot of aspects in it. First, the song is basically about finding yourself with a major theme of identity. Secondly, each verse is a different type of person or rap artist. The first verse is in the perspective of a depressed middle-class rapper that wants the fame and women. The second verse is from a poor and struggling rapper just trying to get out of the hood and wants money. The last verse is the artist contemplating about himself. Finally, the song is a pretty emotional song due to the fact that many people may relate to these types of feelings.

lyrics

[Verse 1]
Who are we to a God?
Who are we to the Senate?
Who am I to deny happiness?
Who am I in general?
There are many things- a plethora,
I could be in studies for,
But I'm after not beforehand
A platinum plague on my wall
I don't care to be careful,
I'm an ant to a giant,
But I wanna amplify and reach to heavens and nebulas,
With my speech and extra curricular actions,
I wanna get reactions then some action,
From an Applebum like Applegate,
More Apples ate than Macintosh,
On the map I'm a legend,
On my lap is an angel,
Playing with her halo,
Caddyshack on the tube,
As I laugh all my sadness in the back my view.

[Bridge]
See - it's the little things,
The small funds that get big deals,
And real feels,
Like a kid getting toys in his kids meal, kids meal

[Chorus]
So I do it for the love
So i do it for the love

[Verse 2]
Who are we in this Life?
Who are we to our pendants?
Who am I to defy gravity?
But who am I in general?
There are many things, so plentiful.
That I can't get into;
A college cause my knowledge,
A job with my resume,
Hip hopster with a mobster mentality
No time to hesitate, 'take the canoli',
Cause I'm hungry,
Grew up on Ali & Jarobi,
And Kobe,
Now I'm going for the gold,
Well maybe not at all,
I just want respect, I just want that check,
I deal with the regret later - later later
Might be too late but I still regress later,
This pigsty ain't too cozy,
I got to get out,
This the only way to go G,
and I do it for the homies.

[Bridge 2] x2
The goal is same,
But not the reason the behind it,
And there some things,
That let people get blinded,

[Chrous] x2
That's why I do it for the love,
Thats why I do it for the love.

[Verse 3]
Now I'm coming out left field,
Gonna hit ya with a -
Verse that'll flip ya,
Ripping everything that I'm in,
every inch of my sins,
Drenched in the holy,
Water - drowning,
In the sounds that I'm pounding,
I am bound to my writtens,
No regrets,
No regrets,
All of myself,
For the love,
Give it my best,
Or get pushed in the shrub,
Or float with the doves,
Biting my dust,
Biting my dust,
But am I good enough?
Good enough?
